Continuing my ministry endeavors within the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA), I recently had the distinct privilege of meeting Brigadier General Samuel Nacion, the academy’s new Director. This encounter highlighted the importance of building strong relationships with our uniformed service members.
Traditionally, there can sometimes be a gap between civilians and those serving in the PNP. However, fostering positive connections is crucial. By understanding the unique challenges and rewards faced by PNPA cadets and officers, we can better support them in their vital roles as future law enforcers.
The meeting with BGen Nacion was a positive step in building this bridge. We discussed the importance of spiritual grounding and ethical conduct within the PNPA. A strong moral compass is essential for those entrusted with upholding the law and serving the Filipino people.
This encounter wasn’t a one-off event. It represents an ongoing effort to strengthen the relationship between the PNPA and the community it serves. Through open communication, collaborative efforts, and mutual respect, we can create a more unified front in promoting safety and security for all.
If you’re involved in community outreach, consider reaching out to your local police force or academy. Building positive relationships fosters trust and understanding, ultimately benefiting both the officers and the civilians they serve.
